Yes, the iconic horses of Central Park, NYC. This subject NEVER gets old. I could spend a lifetime looking at paintings of this subject and how other artist interpreted it.
The carriages were actually white. I chose to paint them black so I could treat them as one mass. Better to stand out against the lighter backround.
