Good Night Hercules

One of the most exciting plein air experiences I've had painting at night on the dock in the ship repair yard in alameda. I was surrounded by the noises of sheet metal being cut , the fog swirled around and The 1906 tug Hercules was in for hull repairs . I painted fast and loose as the darkening light moved across the coach house and huge funnel it was like watching a theatrical stage performance
