"Rimini" is based on my memories of a swamp in Low Country South Carolina. For years I caught fleeting glances of it as I drove on my way south to our family cemetery. On one occasion, I stopped and photographed the swamp and I was enchanted by the brilliant colors of the water where the sunlight hit it, as well as the brightness of the algae that bloomed in the water.
