This ala prima plein air in oil sunflower medley was painted at Tom's Farm Market in Huntley, Illinois. I spent a few minutes selecting a composition with a variety of colorful blooms amongst the 6 acre field of sunflowers. The next two hours I spent painting them as bees graced the blossoms and the sun warmed my face.
