In this small painting I wanted to capture the variety of greens in these trees towering above me and the freshness of the light filtering through the foliage. These trees were home to a colony of rooks and I remember them calling overhead as I observed this scene. For me this painting captures the freshness and peacefulness of a bright May morning. This was painted on Tim Fisher sanded paper.
