I'm fascinated with the juxtaposition of the natural world with human additions - asphalt, linear crossing guidelines, and directions as to when you are permitted to proceed or not. The beauty of the Central Park trees paired with the cold cement is a joy and a challenge to paint. This is especially true with the street and its gritty imperfections.
