Hannah in the Whispering Forest
A young woman before a dark, almost impenetrable pine forest, listening. In this piece, the forest is as much a character as the woman, and I wanted to create a sense of connection and communication between her and the forest, and also to create a sense that emotionally she is part of the landscape, not separate from it. Also, I wanted to imply the sense that there is a folk tale behind his piece, but none exists; I want the viewer to construct their own story and for that story to change with the viewer.
