I had the opportunity to paint in Maine this summer, and this piece was painted on the Schoodic peninsula. I was attracted to the rock, formations and dark shapes that are provided. Working in acrylic was a challenge as the wind was drying out the paint rather quickly. That helped to keep the brush work loose and expressive.
