Another Day Awaits

This is an acrylic painting from my photo reference I took while talking a walk on Lake Fontaine, in Lexington, KY. I recently moved on this lake, which is actually a reservoir. I found this little hidden gem through a friend. This little lake has brought so much peace into my life, from its sunsets, kayaking, watching a variety of birds, geese, ducks, that come and go on their journey across the US. I find it so interesting how this little piece of water has become a home to so many birds passing through. I always wonder, how did they find us, how long will they stay? Every year they come back, like clock work. I love to watch the sunsets either sitting in my kayak or sitting on my patio, its always a reminder of a beautiful day has ended but another beautiful day awaits.
