Snow melt causes ice-white rapids in Colorado's canyons. The ice water rages but the hypnotic thunderous sound is trance inducing. The experience becomes dreamlike. 'Melting' conveys the actual action of snow melt but also the mental state of experiencing and of painting the dreamlike experience.
