This painting is from a scene along the Rio Chama near Abiquiu, NM. I love painting this area of New Mexico, along with Ghost Ranch and it's deep history and beautiful scenery. In this piece, I tried to capture the stark contrast between the rugged rock and the peaceful flow of the Chama River.
