Having grown up in Russia in harsh climates, both geographically and politically speaking, and having made my new home in the U.S.A., I don't think I will ever have enough sunshine and flowers. I created this painting from my 16" x 20" plein air study, as a kind of grand finale to the season having been painting on location all spring.
